General

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.

Who Can Enter

  1. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents aged 18 or over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin (Eligible Entrant).
  2. The Promoter is Hempel (Wattyl) New Zealand Limited (NZBN 9429040733692), 16A Wickham Street, Frankton, Hamilton, NZ 3204.

How to Enter

  1. During the Promotional Period the Promoter will use its Facebook @wattylpaintnz and Instagram account @wattylpaintnz to publish various posts asking people to visit facebook.com/wattylpaintnz or instagram.com/wattylpaintnz, search for the relevant post and comment on the post (as applicable) (“Post”).
  2. To enter you must:
    1. ‘Like’ or ‘Follow’ Wattyl Paint on Facebook or Instagram and continue to ‘Follow’ it until the winner is announced if the entry is on Instagram; and
    2. Find the post on either Facebook or Instagram;
    3. On the Post: Tag a friend and answer the question posted in the comments;
    4. For a bonus entry: Share the competition post on Instagram or Facebook (ensure this is set to “public”).
  3. There is a limit of one valid entry per person.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any entries which do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
  5. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram and Facebook. Any questions regarding this promotion must be directed to the Promoter.

Open, Close, Draw and Publish Dates

  1. Promotion commences on 24/07/2025. Final entries must be received online by 11:59pm NZDT on 31/07/2025 (Promotional Period).
  2. No entries will be accepted after the promotion closes.
  3. One (1) draw will take place on 01/08/2025 at 11am NZDT at the Promoter’s office. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, the prize may be reallocated.
  4. The Winner will be published at win.wattyl.co.nz from 04/08/2025.
  5. The Promoter may select a replacement winner if an invalid or ineligible entry is drawn.

Prize

  1. Each winner will receive:
    1. Prize for the Winner and one companion (guest must be aged 12+).
    2. Return economy flights from Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington to Sydney, Australia (08/08/25 – 10/08/25).
    3. Airport/hotel transfers in Sydney.
    4. Two (2) nights’ accommodation at Pullman Sydney Olympic Park (08/08/25 – 10/08/25), with daily breakfast.
    5. Two (2) centreline seat tickets to Bulldogs vs Warriors at Accor Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park on 09/08/25.
    6. A Wattyl merchandise gift pack.

    Total Prize RRP valued up to NZD $3850 (including GST) depending on departure location.

  2. The Winner must be able to travel on the specified dates.
  3. Prize substitution may occur if necessary.
  4. Flights and accommodation exclude spending money, insurance, additional transfers, and personal expenses.
  5. Any ancillary costs associated with travel to and from departure airports are the responsibility of the winner.
  6. The Prize is subject to event venue and ticket terms and conditions.
  7. Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
  8. Prize values are based on recommended retail prices at time of printing.
  9. If a winner does not take the prize by the stipulated time, it will be forfeited.

Further Terms and Conditions

  1. Entries must be submitted in the entrant’s own name.
  2. Third-party or automated entries are invalid.
  3. The Promoter may reject non-compliant entries.
  4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify entrants who breach these Terms.
  5. The Promoter recommends providing a current residential address for prize delivery.
  6. Winners may be required to provide proof of identity, age and residency.
  7. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding, subject to applicable legislation.
  8. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
  9. Winners agree to participate in promotional activities if required.
  10. Winners are responsible for seeking independent financial advice regarding tax implications.
  11. The Promoter may amend, cancel or suspend the competition if required.
  12. Any costs associated with accessing the promotion are the entrant’s responsibility.
  13. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer guarantees under New Zealand law.
  14. Except for liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter excludes all liability for loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the competition.
  15. The Promoter collects personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Prizes:

  1. 61 supermarket vouchers valued at $250.00 inc gst to be won every day from 1st October to 30th November 2024 (“Prize”).
  2. No portion of the prize is redeemable for cash. The prize is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  3. Should circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control arise, the prize may be altered, and the Winner awarded a prize equal or higher in value to the Prize.
  4. Your voucher can be redeemed for goods and services from the respective supermarket up to the value loaded onto your voucher. Value redeemed is deducted from the card balance.
  5. Your use of the voucher at the respective supermarket is subject at all times to the policies (and, where applicable, other terms and conditions) of that store regarding the goods and services made available by it and to compliance with law.
  6. Where the price of the goods or services being purchased with the voucher exceeds the card balance, you must pay the amount exceeding the card balance by an alternative payment method at the discretion of the relevant store.
  7. Once your voucher has reached a nil balance it cannot be re-activated.

Prize Draws:

  1. One Prize to be drawn every day from Tuesday 1st October to Saturday 30th November 2024.
  2. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered in to.
  3. The Winners will be notified by telephone on the day of each draw.
  4. All winners will receive their voucher via email.

General Terms and Conditions of Entry:

  1. Information on how to enter form part of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. This Promotion is only open to “Eligible Entrants”, being individuals who: (i) are residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older; and (ii) are not employees of the Promoter or Wattyl Retailer or their immediate families and (iii) are not professionally connected with the Promotion.
  3. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for death or any personal injury suffered or sustained as consequence participation in the promotion.
  5. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where attributable to any of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a claimant or entrant.
  6. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend this Promotion due to events arising beyond its control.
  7. The Promoter is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.
  8. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions of Entry at any time and from time to time.
